Musician
I perform as a guitarist, bassist, and banjo player in southern Maine.
I am an upright Bassist and Vocalist in the 30’s Swing quartet “the Copacetic Collective” we play music for dancing and highlight some overlooked gems from the swing era and beyond.
Composer
I am an active composer of both pop and art music. I have recently completed a small suite of songs for ukulele and classical guitar that will be performed this summer. My compositions are available for free by request
Teaching Artist:
Documentary Songwriting Project
During the summer of 2021 I was trained as a teaching artist in the Documentary Songwriting Method.
DocSong teaching artists partner with community members to facilitate bearing witness to the human condition and give voice, through music, to people’s experiences.
I also play in southern Maine’s only socially active Second Line inspired marching band the Ideal Maine Social Aid and Sanctuary Band performing on Snare drum, Banjo, Vocals, Accessory Percussion, Guitar and Bass.
Puppeteer
I am also a puppeteer and mask maker with my puppet company Paper Bull Puppets. We have done shows as small as 2 puppets and as big as staging a whole puppet opera. (which can be seen above)
Presenter/Clinician
As a presenter I focus on 3 primary areas, teaching for creative intent through interdisciplinary approaches to music and arts education, improvisation in both idiomatic and non idiomatic settings and instrumental techniques and pedagogy of the guitar in general and instrumental settings.

I have been active in developing educational curriculum for nonprofit arts and community music centers in southern Maine through my work with Mayo Street Arts I developed a literacy based curriculum around Reading, Music, Art, Dance and Science for children 8-13 as part of the R.A.D. free summer program. Currently I am working with community music organization 317 main as a partnership artist to bring music programming to the New England Arab American Organization
